Jennifer Tilly

Born as Jennifer E. Chan on September 16, 1958, Jennifer is most commonly known for being an actress.

She started during her teenage years going through theater programs, until she moved to Los Angeles to transition into movies and television. She got herself some serious, dramatic, and seductive roles which built the image of a strong and sexy woman.

Jennifer's role in 'Bullets Over Broadway' by Woody Allen even got her nominated for an Academy Award. She would later transition into doing less of movies and more of voiceover work for animation pictures like 'Home on the Range', Monsters Inc, and 'Family Guy' to name a few.

Aside from being successful in her acting career, Jennifer is also known to be quite a big hit in the poker community.

It started off with her boyfriend, Phil Laak 'the Unabomber' who was already a professional poker player. The card game sparked her interest and she quickly learned the ropes. She basically learned everything about poker from Phil.

Jennifer Tilly's nickname in the poker room is 'the Unabombshell' in relation to Phil's nickname and also because of her distinctive cleavage-bearing attire which had surely caused a great number of opponents to fold. By June of 2005, she beat around 600 other participants in the World Series of Poker Texas Hold 'em event for ladies and won $158,625.

This apparently was record breaking as she was the first celebrity to win a World Series of Poker open tournament. Needless to say, her World Series bracelet meant so much to her that she even went so far as saying that it was a lot better than winning an Oscar. She proved that it wasn't just luck that had her winning when three months later, she won third place in the Ladies International Tournament of World Poker Tour.

Jennifer never intended to be a high-profile poker player but with all her accomplishments, she became just that. She is considered to be one of the hottest top female poker players, not only in looks but also in skill.

She even focused more on her poker career than on her acting. But three years later, at the end of 2008, she said she would step down from her poker career and just treat it more as a hobby for recreation only. However in 2010, she seemed to change her mind as she has gotten back on track; her winnings for that year built up to more than $660,000.
